Closure of Glendalough Post Office                                                                                                            

Two meetings have be at the Brockagh about Glendalough Post Office closure at the end of January, 2017. The community along with the GDDA, councillors and TD’s are all trying to come up with a solution for non-closure.

Youth Training Youth                                                                                                                       

Training will return to the Brockagh Resource Centre, part two of the participants training as youth officers on the February 1st  from 4pm to 5.30 with tutor Fiona Downes. Well done to the students involved in the course.

Snow White & the Babes in the Wood                                                                                                                                              

Get your tickets this week for The Roundwood Variety Group in January for another fantastic show on Fri 27th to Sun 29th of January 2017. This year it will be Snow White and The Babes in the Wood, another hilarious panto written by the talented Thomas O Leary. Visit for show times, tickets and contact information! Car Boot Sale                                                                                                                                       

Come along to the Brockagh Centre for a browse on Sunday February 5th for 1st monthly Car Boot in 2017.  Many people find this a great way to clear out their home and make some money in the process while having a social day out. Bargains are always available from home baking, plants, clothes, movies, cd’s, books & antiques etc. Whatever you are looking for, you are sure to find it at the Glendalough car boot sale. Vans must be booked in.  Book indoor spaces early but if you would rather be outside just show up in the morning at 8am. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600 or email to book a space.

Citizens Information                                                                                                                                                       

The Citizens Information Centre is open for information relating to your rights and entitlements from 10am until noon on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.. No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential service.

Happy Days                                                                                                                                         

 Happy Days is on Wednesdays from 10.30 to 12.00 weekly. We would like to invite people with babies and young child to come for a social morning with their children for some play, chat and of course light refreshments. Contact Sandra 0404-45600at the centre for more information.

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night. 

Active Retirement outings                                                                                                                      

The group will be back on January 24th and meet every Tuesday morning, 11am to 12.15pm until for Summer. Drop in for light exercise, socialising and tea with biscuits.

New to the Brockagh for 2017

Pilates at the Brockagh Centre                                                                                                                    

Pilates will be starting on Monday the 30th January. Duration of the class is seven weeks and will start at 9.15am to 10.30am. Marie Noonan is a qualified Pilate’s teacher and has been teaching for the last 17 years and works full time as a movement therapist for rehabilitation, health and longevity. Public lecture: “Recent Archaeological Excavations at Glendalough”                                                           

Recent Archaeological Excavations at Glendalough” by the UCD School of Archaeology,  will be held in the Brockagh Resource Centre on February 10th from 7.00-8.30pm. All are welcome to this free talk. There will be a €2 charge for tea, coffee and biscuits.

Walking group in the Brockagh                                                                                                                        

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the walking group with Get Ireland Walking at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough area for approximately one hour. In association with Get Ireland Walking, Wicklow Local Sports Partnership & Brockagh Resource Centre. All ages and abilities are welcome. We Art

Art and crafts classes for children are on Monday afternoons from 1.45 to 3.45. Classes cover a wide range of art and craft forms. We work with lots of different materials and learn new skills and techniques with every project. It’s all about the joy of making! Phone/text Almha

Elevation Drama School                                                                                                                                        

Drama classes are a fantastic way of developing confidence and encouraging creativity and imagination. Drama modules will incorporate improvisation, mime, script work, vocal training and acting skills. 

Students will also learn from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama syllabus and be afforded opportunities to take graded examinations under a fully qualified teacher. Elevation holds a 100% pass rate in IBSD examinations. Phone Kate today on 086 825 6775 to book in.

Dance Classes                                                                                                                                      

H.I.F.D: Just pop in on Wednesday evenings at 7pm to dance your socks off with Adam and the class in cardio exercise dancing, dropping those extra calories. You do not need to be a good dancer or very fit just dance along at your own pace and enjoy the music.

Morning Yoga Just For You                                                                                                                                           

This class is run every Thursday from 10 to 11.15am.
