Liverpool and Manchester United fans join forces in aid of Arklow Cancer Support

Event ; Fans Banter Charity Match, Liverpool fans v Manchester United fans Venue ; Arklow town FC Astro Pitch Date Sunday 15th January Kick off 1.00pm

On Sunday the 15th of January both Liverpool and Manchester United fans join forces in Arklow to play a charity football match for the Arklow Cancer Support Group, This is the 4th year of this event which has raised to date over €4,500, with charities like Sinead’s Stems of Hope, Ronald McDonald house and the Sri Lankan Orphanages all benefiting from this fantastic event.

The brain child of friends John Scanlon, Joe Byrne (Manchester United) and Derek Nolan Andrew Giles (Liverpool) Who collectively have gathered over 40 players lining out between the 2 teams with both sets of Players looking to win the “Banter Cup” and claiming the bragging rights.

The match Kicks off at 1.00pm on the Astro pitch in Arklow Town FC’s Bridgewater park, Lamberton followed by the Live game from Old Trafford between the two teams on the big screen in the Arklow rock’s GAA club.
