Wicklow Man Fox Trots his way to another week of Dancing with the Stars

Finishing at the bottom of the leader board two week’s ago, Wicklow man Sean Smullen and his Celebrity Dance Partner Dr. Eva turned the tables last Sunday with foxtrotting their way into tomorrow’s edition of Dancing with the Stars.

Commenting on the success of last week, Sean said “Both Dr. Eva and myself are absolutely delighted with the marks and comments we received from the judges on Sunday – What an improvement! We were both overjoyed we didn’t have to foxtrot our way out of the competition.”

“Having been in the bottom of the leader board overall for the past two weeks, it was such a relief to not be going home.”

We would like to make a special thank you to everyone who supported us and took the time to vote. Especially, my dance partner Aimie Leak, my family, all students from our dance studio Love Dancing.

Sean says “This week we will be concentrating on the American Smooth, you will be in for a treat! An American Smooth is traditional ballroom with a huge dollop of Hollywood glamour on top. Honestly, you do not want to miss this Sunday!”

Dr. Eva, who is originally from Kilquade in Wicklow says “We were very upset to witness our friends Hughie & Emily’s departure from the show, as we are all one big family unit. Unfortunately someone always has to be eliminated as it is a competition! We are very anxious and nervous for next week, as we know another couple will be eliminated from the show, and as we have been consistently in the bottom for the last two weeks, we worry it could be us.”

“We have been training extremely hard this week, to up our game ready for Sunday. So much so, we have decided to do all the training in our dance studio in Wicklow. Sean says, “this will help her to stay focused as there are far too many distractions in Dublin”.

Speaking to Wicklow News the dance competitors say “we hope to do the county proud and make it through another week! Don’t forget to tune in and further support us by voting for Dr. Eva next Sunday!
