Avoca National School enrolments
Avoca N.S is taking enrolments coming academic year. The school has spaces in all classes. If you would like to have, your child enrolled, please call the office on 0402-35331 or email us at avocans@hotmail.com. All pupils welcome.
Avoca National School Defribultor Fundraiser.
Some requests have been made in relation to the desirability of a defribulator on the school site. This is an important piece of equipment that has the potential to save many lives. Myles Doyle of the Avoca Recycling Centre has offered to help us at Avoca N.S in raising funds for this machine. Myles and his team work very hard to raise money for the Wicklow Hospice Foundation, Rathdrum Cancer Support and Avoca Senior Citizens. This is done through the clothes recycling facility. Myles has very kindly added Avoca N.S to the list of recipients We will receive one –sixth of the funds raised from the clothes that are recycled over the coming six months. We at Avoca N.S are asking you to donate any unwanted, clothing, bags and shoes to the recycling centre. In doing so you are helping not only your child’s school but a whole array of very worthy local charities. So, as the fine weather puts a spring in our step and our thoughts turn to spring cleaning, please think of us as you ‘ clear the clobber !’
