Bray Vs Round Towers
On Saturday afternoon the U 16 Camogie team met Round Towers in the first round of the Dublin League . Delighted to get a home fixture , we were on Pitch 4 in Emmet Bhré.
We’d had a couple of friendly matches earlier on in the season and the girls had done well but they looked a bit rusty at the start of the match.
By half time the Bray girls hadn’t managed to get a score on the board whereas Round Towers had scored 3 goals 3 points. Seemed like an awful mountain to climb.
However, following the half time break the Bray girls went out and played an absolute blinder! We didn’t win the match but we finished up with Round Towers 3 g 5 points and Bray 3 g 3 points.
The girls really went out there and played an amazing second half! They showed fantastic character to dig in and make that comeback. We would like to thank the U14s that came along and played a really important part in the game, Áine, Fionnuala and Madge

U10 Camogie Blitz
On Saturday our very talented U10’s camogie team took part in a blitz in Stepaside . They played three 7 minute aside matches against St Olafs and Cuala. Unfortunately we weren’t the winners on this occasion but the girls gave it everything, they displayed their skills excellently, a pleasure to watch , our strong defence striking the slioter to the midfielders and then on up to our forwards was great to see – lovely teamwork. The oppositions defence was also strong so they denied us many goals. Onwards and upwards for this group of girls as their talents shine stronger every week Well done , they are true warriors.
U9 Camogie Blitz
It wasn’t a lie in on mother’s day for the 2008 camogie squad who hosted near neighbours Cuala, Shankill, Geraldine Morans and Stars of Erin.
Played in fantastic weather the girls showed great skill and hard work in their three games. This is a great bunch of players who always try their best and are always willing to learn.
Team: Alice, Aoebh, Megan, Rebecca, Eabha, Sadhbh, Siofra, Clodagh, Nancy, Ruby, Kitty, Niamh, Jorja and Ellen.
One of the group’s players Maedbh was sadly missing from the blitz today due to injury. The girls and coaches wish Maedbh a speedy recovery and hope she is back soon.
Training is on Saturdays at 10.00 new players always welcome.
