Carnew notes week March 6th

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

On Sunday March 12 the walk will be at Ballycrystal, (Grade B+, 14-15km, 4.5 hours) meeting in Bunclody at 10.00.  The next March and April walks will be decided shortly. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.

SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Vinnie McCrea, Woolgreen, Carnew who died last week and was removed to Carnew on Wednesday for 2pm mass with burial in Tomacork cemetry.

To the family and relatives of Donald Gorry, Malton Park, Carnew who died last week and was buried in Tomacork cemetery during the week.

To the family and relatives of Vinnie Strunks, England and formely of Main Street, Carnew and Derry who died suddenly last week and was buried on Wednesday in Derry.

TABLE QUIZ

There is a table quiz on this Friday 10th March at 9.15pm in McCrea’s Lounge, all welcome to come along.

TOPS OF THE PARISH

Congratulations and well done to all who took part in the local Tops of the Parish last Friday and Sunday night, it was a very enjoyable night and great entertainment was had by all.

BINGO

The next bingo is Sunday 12th March and 2nd April at 2.30pm, all welcome to come along and many thanks to everyone for their support to date, it is very much appreciated.
