A soccer blitz for boys and girls age 8 to 11 years will take place on Sunday March 25th at 1pm in the Soccer field. If this is a success it is hoped to start a club in Dunlavin.
John Brady TD will hold a clinic in Dunlavin parish centre on the 2nd Monday of each month from 11.30am to 12.30pm. All welcome to drop in.

Sympathy is extended to the Doyle family , Grangebeg on the death last week of Dr. Maire Boyle. Maire who was predeceased by her father Eugene is mourned by her mother Maura, husband Michael, daughter Niamh, sons Eoin and David, brothers John, Bill, Myles and Peter and many relatives and friends. Maire ‘s funeral Mass took place in Milltown, Dublin on March 7th 2017. May Maire rest in peace.
This years arts festival takes place on June 16th to 18th. Next meeting will take place in Rathsallagh Golf Club on March 25th at 12 noon. Anyone interested is invited to attend.

The death took place last week of Robert Mills, Kilgowan. Robert is mourned by his wife Rosemary, son Percy, daughters Caroline and Heather, sister Louie and many relatives and friends. Roberts funeral took place in Dunlavin on Wednesday March 8th 2017. May Robert rest in peace.

Dressing trees up in yarn, knitted, crocheted or pompoms. Not a fundraising event. A COMMUNITY event. So as many people as possible. The aim of this community project is to decorate the town for the week of the Arts Festival. Google ICA yarn bombing Newbridge. If people are interested there will be a community knitting session in Meitheal on Wednesday mornings from 10am to 12 noon and also on Thursdays 3pm to 5pm. All welcome.
Is anybody interested in a Farmers Market in Dunlavin? The first one will take place on Saturday May 6th 10am to 2pm outside Meitheal Coffee Shop. No trading allowed, only own grown, own made items. Get sowing and growing, baking and making if you would like to be part of this event.

Donard Comhaltas – hold music lessons every Thursday at 8pm in Donard National School. Beginners tin whistle, banjo, concertina, flute, fiddle, accordian, guitar, bodhrán. €5 per lesson. New members always welcome
The Kube Games Night for Kids
Will take place in the Imaal Hall, Dunlavin – In aid of St. Nicholas of Myra Church Repairs. On Friday March 24th, 2017 at 7.00pm – Admission €10.
Are you up for the Challenge!!!!! There are 4 Aged Categories as follows: –
(8–10), (11–12), (13–14) & (15–16). The Winner of each category will win €100.00.
We need 25 Children for each category (100 children in total).
Each child must get €50 Sponsorship (So go on and get your Nanny, Grandad, your Parents or Family Member to sponsor you) – it’s for a good cause and promises to be lots of fun.

We will also be selling tickets over a couple of weekends prior to the event after all the Masses – details to follow. Best wishes to Mary Byrne and her team from’ Made by Mary’ who have taken on the food franchise in Rathsallagh Golf Club . They have been in catering over 20 years… even though they don’t look a day over 21. having been based solely in Dublin for the last 18 years, They have been catering in the locality of Dunlavin and Blessington over the past 12 years so they have decided to branch out in to the beautiful garden of Ireland, and we are lucky to have them working with us.
