COME AND JOIN US:  SIGN UP FOR VHI WOMEN’S MINI MARATHON

The Beach House,  Greystones Harbour Marina

12.30 pm to 1.30 pm

 

Greystones Cancer Support is seeking walkers,  runners,  joggers.

Women’s Mini Marathon,  big annual event, on June Bank Holiday Monday.

Mini Marathon is one of GCS two annual fundraisers.

 

We need people !!

Can you help your local community cancer support group ??

Please help to spread the word.

Greystones Cancer Support will be there.

We will have our Sponsor Cards.

We will tell you how to register with Women’s Mini Marathon.

 

We can tell you all about our Group.

Greystones Cancer Support is a separate and independent group.

We rely on voluntary help and donations to continue our work.

 

Women’s Mini Marathon is fun and easy to do.

And it’s all in aid of a good cause.

Nominations now being accepted for People of the Year Awards 2017.

Deadline for nomination is 28 April, 2017.

Greystones Municipal District,  Civic Offices,  Mill Road,  Greystones.

Awards will be presented at function on 25 May, 2017,  Greystones Golf Club.

Alzheimer Café is a relaxed place.

People with dementia and their families and friends,  health professionals come together.

Sharing education and support over a cup of tea.

Safe place where people can share experiences and talk about dementia.

Greystones Dementia Friends is a support group for carers of family with dementia.

Groups meets every Friday morning,  Burnaby Lounge,  11 am to 1 pm.

Everyone welcome to come along for a cuppa and a chat.

Liam Ryan,  Author of Cancer 4,  Me 5,  Gives Special Talk.

Greystones Library,  2:30 p.m.

 

In 2002,  Liam Ryan was diagnosed with a Stage 4 tumour.

He was given very little chance of survival.

But survive he did and he wrote a book about his remarkable story.

 

You can hear Liam’s inspirational talk from the man himself.

The event is free but booking is essential with Greystones Library, 2873548.

 

Liam Ryan is the living proof that,  no matter how much the odds are

stacked against you,  they can always be overturned.

 

Liam’s talk is a not-to-be-missed event.

 

Wicklow Sings Choral Festival Returns

Temple Carrig School;  7:00 p.m.

 

Festival returns after extraordinarily successful event last year.

Thirteen choirs will participate this year.

Wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity of choirs in the county.

Barbershop groups,  choral societies,  community and children’s choirs,  gospel groups.
