At the very well attended AGM of Wicklow Town & District Chamber, Dianna Sheridan was elected as the new President.
Dianna is the very successful owner of the Wicklow based All Shades & Blinds and the Arklow based company Polysort. Outgoing President Pascal Burke in handing over the chain of office to Dianna said that she has been a tremendous supporter of the Chamber over many years and that she will bring to the Chamber the benefit of her vast business experience and her great can do attitude.
In her acceptance speech, Dianna promised to focus on the dynamic promotion of Wicklow Town & District as a location for increased Industrial, Commercial and Tourism development. She spoke about her strong commitment to the promotion of Wicklow Town as a great place to live, work, shop and play and that she was committed to the continued promotion of Wicklow Town as a vibrant retail town.
At the AGM a new Chamber Council was elected and Dianna has no doubt that this new Chamber Council will be a great support to her in the projects she proposes to undertake in the year ahead.
In closing the meeting Dianna thanked all the members present for electing her as the new chamber President. She paid tribute to the work of the outgoing President Pascal Burke and the outgoing Chamber Council. She asked all Chamber members to give her their full support and to support all Chamber projects in the year ahead which will see many challenges for our Town & District.
