Baltinglass Pharmacy launch AED Defibrillator on Main Street

Wednesday 26th April marked a very special occasion for Baltinglass Pharmacy as they launched a Public Access Defibrillator on Baltinglass Main Street with the help of Billy Timmins to cut the ribbon and Donard First Responder Paul Byrne for training.

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is located on the wall outside Baltinglass Pharmacy.

Pharmacist Niamh Scally and MCGreals Staff member Bernie Kelly at the AED defibrillator mounted outside Baltinglass Pharmacy.

The aim of this AED is to strengthen the Chain of Survival in Baltinglass.

When someone’s heart stops beating, every second counts! Starting CPR early and using a defibrillator greatly increases the chances of that person surviving.

We had a fantastic turn out from the local community for the Official Launch today, with locals participating in our CPR and defibrillator demonstrations.
