Friends of Merlin are hosting Grow it!! a fun and informative evening of gardening tips with a panel of green fingered experts on Thursday 27th April at 7pm in Newcastle Parish Hall (located near the school).  Admission is e5 including refreshments and all proceeds raised will go to Dogs Trust Ireland. 


The evening is aimed at gardeners of all abilities – from beginners to the more experienced!  A panel of gardening experts will be talking on all areas of gardening – Des White – summer bedding, Anne O’ Leary – fruit & veg and John Stephenson on all things horticultural.  The evening will include a Q&A session for all your gardening queries followed by a raffle, a plant and gardening book sale. Tickets are e5 available at the door and refreshments will be available.


Friends of Merlin is a group of local animal lovers led by Jon Jameson who has run the Bray Dog Show for well over a decade and the Greystones Dog Show for the last 24 years.  Merlin was rescued about 10 weeks old and lived a long and happy life in the Wicklow countryside.  In his lifetime, Merlin was well known in the Co Wicklow area through his educational school visits and parties for students, teaching them about animal welfare and the life of a rescue dog.
