Public urged to exercise caution following weekend gorse fires

Members of the public are being urged to exercise caution during the fine weather after a number of gorse fires were reported around the county over the weekend.

While no one was injured, there has been damage to wildlife.

Gorse fires were reported at the Murrough in Wicklow town and one close to the Sugarloaf in Bray on Monday.

Hundreds of acres of gorse and forestry were destroyed in Bantry, Co.Cork on Saturday.
