Bowls Club
The members of Annacurra Bowls Club extend their sympathy to our colleagues Pat and Bridget Kennedy, on the recent deathof Pat’s Sister Mary McKevitt, Naas Co. Kildare. R.I.P.
The Bowls Club end of season Presentation night took placeThursday 27th April. After the presentations we proceeded to the Saltee for refreshments and beverages. Thanks to the management and staff of The Salteefor looking after us so well on the night.
The results of the recent competitions is:
Stapleton Cup Winners: Mary Stapleton and Borris Ivanoff.
Runners Up: Nuala Molloy and Pat Kennedy. 
Agnes Doyle Memorial Cup. (This year we also remember her husband
Tommy who died during the past year.)
Winner: Jimmy Whelan. Runner Up: P.J. Tompkins.
Betty Dalton Cup Winner: Nancy Linehan. Runner Up: Borris Ivanoff.
We also took part in the Ann Darcy and Matt O’Neill Memorial Cups,(Run by Tinahely) Ann Darcy Cup Won by Jack Lynch.
Runner up Pat Kennedy.
Matt O’Neill Cup Won by P.J. Hynes (Tinahely Member)
Runner Up was John Flood (Annacurra) 
Harry Boyd Memorial Cup won by Annacurra after two very tight matches against Tinahely. Once again we Remember the late Harry’s wife Elizabeth who also passed away in 2016 RIP. 
Bowls will resume again in late September.
Sponsored  Walk
The Annual Jimmy Cullen, 4A’s Hillwalking Club Sponsored Walk in aid of the Children of Chernoybl Foundation (Arklow Gorey Group) takes place on Sunday the 14th May. The Walk will take place on the Kyle Loop and the registration tent on the day will be in the Tinahely GAA Carpark opening at 9:15 am sharp. Walkers can choose between the 20K or the 10K route. Busy Fingers
 Pre-school & Toddler Group.
We are now taking enrolments for September, catering for children from 2-6 years of age.  Free places are available under the ECCE scheme.  For enrolments or any further information please ring 0402 36407 or  087 394 9867.
Thank You
A huge crowd turned out for the Wicklow Fleadh and KARE event in Tinahely on Saturday 22nd April.   The aroma of freshly home-baked cakes enticed the Fleadh goers into the community hall throughout the day. Volunteers served  pots of tea and coffee  as well as a wide selection of home baked treats. Freshly made sandwiches were also served.
In excess of €1,500 was raised from refreshments and proceeds go to  KARE Tinahely Local Service.  Established in Tinahely in 2003,  KARE provides support to people who have an intellectual disability and their families. 
Thanks  to the Tinahely branch of  Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann for generously offering the proceeds from the refreshments  to KARE.  Thanks to the sponsors. A special thanks to the volunteers who gave so generously of their time and  to  the bakers for the fantastic variety of home-made cakes and treats.   Thanks also to the many people who came along especially to lend their generous support to KARE.
Gaa Lotto
Results for April 24 . No jackpot winner. Numbers drawn 6-8-20-26 . Match 3 winner; Eilish Byrne, Aughrim. Jackpot stands at €4.900 euro. Draw held in Saltee on Monday night.
45 Card Game
45 card game on Friday night next  May 5 in The Saltee, starting at 8-30pm.
Whist Drive
There will be a whist drive in Annacurra Community centre on Saturday night next  May 6 . starting at 9 pm
Vintage Run
 Wicklow Vintage Club proudly present the Vintage Tractor and Car Run at Ballycoog, Woodenbridge, Arklow on Sunday 7th May at 12 noon.
