Child approached by man in white van

It is being reported that a child was approached by a man this evening in Arklow.

The man who was driving a white van asked an 11-year old girl to get into his van on the Johnstown Road close to the Emyvale estate.

When the girl refused he drove away.

Anyone who may have noticed a white van in the area on Wednesday evening are being asked to contact the Gardai in Arklow.
