Local Blessington Community Pharmacist Killian McGreal has been nominated for a prestigious national award, which could name him The People’s Pharmacist in Association with A.Menarini Consumer Health of the Year 2017.
The People’s Pharmacist in Association with A.Menarini Consumer Health of the Year 2017 is unique, as it is nominated and voted for solely by the general public on the excellent services provided by their local Pharmacist in promoting health and wellbeing in the community.
Pharmacists are increasingly the first point of call for the public on health issues and are often consulted before GP’s or hospitals. Many pharmacists now offer more services such as delivery services, blood pressure and cholesterol testing and trusted medical advice free of charge. The Irish Pharmacy Awards provide a unique platform from which to reward and distinguish the important role pharmacists play in the medical community.
Each finalist was nominated for the award by their local community for their continued excellence of service throughout the years.
Based at McGreal’s Pharmacy, Kilian followed in his father and grandfathers footsteps in working in the family Pharmacy in Blessington, Co Wicklow. Killian has been delighted to have been involved in the development of McGreals Pharmacy over the last 15 years and has taken the business from one thriving pharmacy in the heart of Blessington to eight new McGreals Pharmacy openings across Leinster.
