Annacurra Field Day
The Annual Field Day held on the 18th June in the Community Field was a wonderful success and we couldn’t have asked for better weather on the day. We would like to thank everyone who supported the Field Day by attending on the day, buying tickets in the Summer Draw and those who donated items for the stalls. We also thank everyone who helped in the field on the day, running stalls, selling tickets, organising races. etc.

Whist Drive
There will be a whist drive in Annacurra Community centre on Saturday night next   July 1 . starting at 9 pm.
Peter McVerry.
Well known campaigner for the homeless Fr. Peter McVerry will visit Tinahely to speak during Mass in  St. Kevin’s Church, Kilaveney on Saturday 8th July at 7.30p.m.  The theme of his message will be “Homelessness – a challenge for the Gospel”
He founded the The Arrupe Society 1983 to provide housing and support to young people experiencing homelessness. In 2005 the name of the charity changed from the Arrupe Society to Peter McVerry Trust.
Peter’s vision for the charity is to support all those living on the margins and to uphold their rights to full inclusion in society.  As a social activist Peter is a strong advocate for those who have no voice in society. Kilaveney Folk Group will sing during this Mass.  Everyone is welcome to come along.
Opening times for Aughrim Library are as follows Tuesday 3-5 Wednesday 3-5 and 6-60 until 8-30 Friday 11-1 and 3-5 Saturday 2-4. Membership free. Photocopying available.
