Parish Fundraiser
The farmers market will take place on June 17th at 10am. The parish will have a stall and would like people to bake for the stall. Baking can be left into parish centre on the Friday or to the stall on Saturday morning.
Sympathy
Sympathy to the family of Pat Farrell, Moorhill who passed away last week. Pat is mourned by his wife Rosie, daughter Alice , sons William and Pat, brother Dinny. and all his relatives and friends. Pats burial took place in Gomanstown Graveyard On Monday June 5th May Pat rest in peace

The death took place in London recently of John Mooney, late of Lemonstown, Dunlavin. Condolos

Celebration
Jonathan Swift National School are celebrating 125 years on Sunday June 11th in St. Nicholas Church, Dunlavin at 3pm. This will e followed by refreshments. All are welcome.
Mid Summer Melodies

Swift In Dunlavin
Dunlavin Arts Festival presents Swift in Dunlavin, an evening of poetry, prose and song to celebrate the life and works of Jonathan Swift. 2017 marks the 350th anniversary of Swift’s birth and in 2016 St Nicholas Church, of which Swift was once Prebendary, enjoyed 200 years since the current church was built. Join us as local and professional talent come together to entertain you with highlights from Swift’s writings and music from the period.

Tidy Towns Fundraiser
Dunlavin Tidy Towns are asking for your support in their annual non-stop draw. This is their only fundraiser every year and proceeds are used to buy plants, flowers, trees, bulbs, fertilizers, fuel for mowers as well as maintenance and tools. Residents are encouraged to be litter conscious and be aware of the legal requirement to clean up dog mess if walking their pets.
Golf Classic

Set Dance
The annual Maureen Dennis memorial set dance ceili will take place on June 16th in the Imaal Hall, music by Syl and Liz, proceeds to St Brigids Hospice on the Curragh. Dancing 9.30 to 12.30. Subscription € 10 includes supper.
The Imaal Hall’s AGM – will take place on Friday, June 9th at 8pm. All are welcome.
Track & Field Athletics – Training will now begin in Donard GAA on Tuesdays at 3:15 for all children who want to train. We also need boys for U12 relay, and girls & boys for U14 and U16 relay teams. Car Boot Sale
will be held in the Imaal Hall on Sunday,2nd July from 9:30am to 2:00pm (Table must be set up by 9am). A table will be supplied at a cost of €15, to book your table please contact 045-403319 or 087-6293923. All proceeds will go towards the maintenance of the hall.
Dunlavin Community Playschool
Enrolment places for September are filling up fast so if you know of anybody with a child due to start playschool in September 2017, January or April 2018 can you ask them to contact the playschool on 045-406866 or call in to complete an enrolment form so they can be added to the list.
Line Dancing
Line Dancing – continues in the Imaal Hal on Wednesdays from 8pm-10pm at a cost of only €6. New beginners are welcome, so come along learn a new skill and join the craic!

Join your local library and avail of the many free services there. E-Books and E Audio books are available, you can read Digital Magazines and the newspapers for free. Great selection of children’s books. Opening times in Dunlavin Tuesday 6.30-8.30pm., Wednesday 3-5pm and 6.30-8.30pm, Friday 10.30-1pm and 3pm-5pm, and Saturday 11am-1pm. Closed on Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.
Clinic
John Brady TD will hold a clinic in Dunlavin parish centre on the 2nd Monday of each month from 11.30am to 12.30pm. All welcome to drop in.
Used Postage Stamps Please keep your used postage stamps for St. Patrick’s Missions, Kiltegan who can use them to fundraise. Used stamps can be dropped into the parish office any time. Thank you to all who have donated stamps throughout the past year.
