The funeral of school principal Padraic Carney will take place in Dublin today.
The popular principal was a former resident of Wicklow town and spent time teaching in the former Abbey Community college.
Mr Carney died after a collision with a car at the Butterfield Crescent junction in Rathfarmham, Co.Dublin on Tuesday morning while making his way to work on his bicycle.
Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Rathfarnham Garda Station on 01 666 6500
Funeral details
Funeral arriving to the Church of St Pius X, College Drive, Templeogue, Dublin 6w on Saturday morning for 11am Funeral Mass followed by a private family cremation.
“The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the amazing staff of Tallaght Hospital (Accident & Emergency) and to Beaumont Hospital (Richmond ICU)”.
