Gardai in Bray have launched an investigation after what is believed to be human remains were discovered on the Military road near Enniskerry.
It is understood the remains were discovered by a group returning from a picnic in the area on Saturday evening.
The area has been sealed off to facilitate a Garda forensic examination.
The Military Road, Enniskerry is closed at junction of the Peace and Reconciliation Centre, Glencree to the Feather Beds Junction.
