A man in his 30’s has been arrested in county Wexford in connection with body parts found in the Wicklow mountains.
Earlier, gardaí investigating the discovery of the human remains said the indications are that they are those of an adult woman.
Previous indications were that the remains, found in various locations along the Military road since Saturday, were those of a man.
At a press conference this evening Superintendent Pat Ward said search teams have now discovered limbs and significant parts of a torso, as well as a head and hands which were found in a bag.
They are now satisfied that they have discovered most of the body and they believe all of the remains are part of one body.
