The Military Rd is expected to remain closed until later today (Monday) at Glencree and also further south between the Sally Gap and Laragh after body parts were discovered over the weekend .
Motorists will be diverted via Roundwood.
Human remains were discovered close to Glencree and Glenmacnass.
It is understood the remains which are that of a male aged in his 20’s, have not been in the area for a long time.
Speaking at Bray Garda station yesterday Superintendent Pat Ward said the investigating gardaí believe the person met their death by sinister means but the result of the post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
The remains found at Glencree were removed to the Mater hospital for X-ray before taken to the City Morgue at Whitehall.
Gardai are now reviewing the missing persons list in an effort to identify the person.
An appeal for information has been issued, and gardaí said that anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area can contact Bray Garda Station on 01-6665300.
