Wicklow man dies in Dublin taxi accident


The man who died in a car accident in Dublin during the early hours of Friday morning is understood to be originally from Wicklow town.

The man was a passenger in a taxi which was involved in a collision with another car.

The incident happened around 1.40am at Summer Hill Parade in Dublin city centre.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the taxi was treated at The Mater Hospital for minor injuries.

The man’s name has been withheld until family members have been notified.
