Wicklow Mountains murder victim named

The woman whose dismembered remains that were found in the Wicklow mountains has been named as Patricia O’Connor.

Mrs O’Connor who was in her 50s and from Rathfarnham in Dublin, was reported missing on 2 June.

Investigators believe she died during a row and was struck with a blunt instrument.

It is understood the victim had been buried in a shallow grave in Kilmuckridge, Co.Wexford before being dismembered a number of days later and spread across the Wicklow mountains.

A man 32-year-old man is still being questioned at Bray garda station.
