Cemetery Mass

The Annual Cemetery Mass and Blessing of the Graves will take place in Rosahane on Wednesday
the 19th. July 2017 at 8.00.pm.

Aughrim Juvenile GAA

The U11 Aughrim hurlers had a great win V Glenealy on Wed night last on a score of 4-09 to 3-05. It was a great team performance, it was great to see Conaill O’ Brien making a return and U9 Player Liam Molloy helping the team out.

Scorers :Lorcan Toomey 1-09, Adam Lifely 1-00, Dessie Fitzgerald 1-00 and  Marc O’ Shea 1-00. Team C O’ Brien, C Wilson, D Rice, C Connolly, D Fitzgerald, C O’ Toole, L Toomey, M O’ Shea, L Molloy, J Byrne, A Lifely.

The U13 Luke O’ Toole’s team went down to Kilcoole 2-11 to 2-05 while the U15 Luke O’ Tooles’ team had a good win v Glenealy 3-08 to 1-03. Cul Camps is in full swing this week and we hope that all the kids get a lot of exercise and enjoy the week.

The U11 footballers play Shillelagh on Wednesday night, the U13 team play AGB and the U15 Derry Gaels team take on Blessington, both games are table top clashes. The U7 & U9 footballers play their football blitz in Annacurra this Saturday morning.

The club would like to wish Cian Keogh a speedy recovery from a broken wrist, which he sustained in training last week.

KARE Open Evening

We invite you to visit KARE Tinahely Local Service on Friday 28th July 4pm onwards. The aim of this open evening is to inform our friends, supporters and the community about the support services and facilities available to our Service Users.  This will be an opportunity for you to view the new sensory room, class room downstairs and sensory garden.  There will be an exhibition of the wonderful work by the our Service Users.

Founded in 1967, KARE  provides support to people who have an intellectual disability and their families.   Tinahely Local Service  was established in 2003 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.   

The centre is presently housed in a purpose built unit in Tinahely Community Hall on the School Road. The catchment area includes Tinahely, Annacurra, Clonmore, Carnew, Shillelagh, Coolboy, Aughrim, Knockanana and Hacketstown.

The local service take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you  for your generosity and valued support over the years.
Tea and coffee will be served in the Community Hall. Bring your family, friends and neighbours along. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Market

We have a summer treat in store for you at Aughrim Town & Country Market (open every Saturday 10am – 2pm). Chef, Richard Corrigan will present his healthy eating food demonstration from 11am – 1pm and all are most welcome.

We have a wide variety of locally produced food and our stallholders are happy to offer free tastings and advice where possible, plus free entry into our weekly draw.

There is a great variety on offer including fresh local meat, farm fresh eggs, chemical free fruit & vegetables, fresh home-baked breads and cakes, jams & chutneys, freshly cooked frittatas and lots more.

Our craft section offers lovely gift ideas, jewellery and aran knits.

Why not meet up with friends at the market cafe for a chat and coffee, breakfast, lunch or sweet treats.

Lotto

The numbers: 1, 11, 13 and 21 were drawn in the Sports Club Lotto on Monday July 10th.  There were 7 match three winners: John Coogan, Knockananna, Mary O’Loughlin, Tinnakilly, Jimmy O’Toole, Arklow, Sunday Syndicate, c/o Joe’s, GAry Keogh, c/o Shop, Róisín Mann, Shane Byrne, c/o Bobby.  The jackpot was not won. The jackpot is now €9450. Next draw will be held on Monday July 17th in O’Tooles.
