Aughrim notes week July 3rd

Aughrim Juvenile GAA

Last week was hurling week and it was great to see so many kids from Aughrim participating at all levels. The U7’s & U9’s hosted Kiltegan on Friday night and had some great games. A big thank you to Tracey, Laurna, Michaela, Catherine & Yvonne for looking after the refreshments and to the young referees, Aine, Conor, Aoife & Shauna. The U11’s had a great win over Michael Dwyers on a score of 5-03 to 4-03, they have proved, with a full turnout of players that they are a match for any other team at this age group. The U13’s beat Bray Emmets 2-03 to 0-01, bringing the good form from the Feile in to the game. The U15 hurlers again had no game, these lads have only had one game all year, so you wonder how it is possible to keep them interested. The U17’s, with a lot of players missing, went down to North Wicklow Gaels. On the Football side The U13’s had a good win over St Kevins on Friday night.
This weekend we host an U7 & U9 football blitz, we welcome teams from Annacurra, Coolboy, Carnew and Hollywood on what should be a great morning of football. The U11 footballers have no game, The U13’s play St Nick’s while the U15 Derry GAels team take on An Tochar.
