SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Mary Smith, nee Doyle, Monaseed and Oakfield Nursing Home, her remains were removed to Monaseed on Sunday evening and burial took place on Monday after 12 noon mass.

To the family and relatives of Fr Fintan Morris, Kiltealy and Tinahely who died recently.

MARRIAGE

Congratulations to Pauric Keogh, Croneyhorn and Noleen Kavanagh, loais who were married recently.

GET WELL

Get well wishes go to Thomas Kennedy, Coollattin.

BIRTH

Congratulations to Joe and Olive Berminham, Shillelagh on the birth of their son.

GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the GAA lotto last week, numbers were 6,16,17,23, lucky dips were E. O’Leary, c/o Candy’s.  Phil Rosney. Henry McGee. Siobhain McEntaggart, c/o Sinnott’s. The next draw is 31st July in Kenny’s and the jackpot is €7,200.

 

KARE Open Evening.

Founded in 1967, KARE celebrates it’s 50th anniversary this year. We invite you to visit KARE Tinahely Local Service on Friday 28th July 4 – 8p.m. The aim of this open evening is to inform our friends, supporters and the community about the support services and facilities available to our Service Users. KARE  provides support to people who have an intellectual disability and their families.

Tinahely Local Service  was established in 2003 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.    The centre is presently housed in a purpose built unit in Tinahely Community Hall on the School Road. The catchment area includes Tinahely, Annacurra, Clonmore, Carnew, Shillelagh, Coolboy, Aughrim, Knockanana and Hacketstown.   

The local service take this opportunity to thank you  for your generosity and valued support over the years.

 

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

On Sunday July 30, the walk will be at Ballycrystal, (Grade B+, 12km, 3.5 hours) meeting in Bunclody at 10.00. On Sunday August 6, the walk will be at Mullaghcleevaun (Grade B+, 15km, 5 hours) meeting in Tinahely at 9.30 or car park at Sorrel Hill at 10.30. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.
