After a period of good summer sunshine, rain is predicted to be back with a bang tonight.
Early morning commuters should take care on roads with greasy conditions coupled with localised spot flooding. A slight risk of thunderstorm activity overnight. (The ESB are advising to charge mobile phones)
Highest risk area is areas in the SE of Ireland.
Detectors seeing a large increase in thunderstorm activity south of Ireland at the moment. A risk that this thunderstorm activity will proceed northwards later tonight and overnight causing some isolated power outages.
A risk of spot flooding likely in Leinster, east Munster and east Ulster overnight.
Hopefully it will all have passed in time for the Bray airshow.
