Marlton Road & Abbey Street – Wicklow Town – Wastewater network upgrade
Irish Water, working in partnership with Wicklow County Council, is carrying out a wastewater network upgrade project along Marlton Road and Abbey Street in Wicklow. As part of this project it will be necessary for Whiteford Geoservices Limited working on behalf of Irish Water to carry out site investigation works along approximately 1km of sewer network on Marlton Road and on Abbey Street (Grand Hotel area).
It is planned that works will commence on Monday 3 July, 2017. Irish Water expects these works to last for approximately 6 weeks. The works will be carried out during the following hours:
8:00am to 6:00pm (Monday – Friday)
To minimise disruption on Abbey Street it may be necessary to carry out works outside of these standard hours. During the works a stop/go traffic system will be in place and local access will be maintained at all times.
Irish Water and Wicklow County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused by these essential works.
Newtownmountkennedy
Wicklow County Council wishes to inform road users of a new road layout on the R765 Newtownmountkennedy to Roundwood road , from 10.00 am on Monday July 3rd 2017.
The new layout will commence at the Kilmurray road junction at the bottom of Slaughter Hill, or from the Rossmore Roundabout, if travelling to Roundwood from Newtownmountkennedy.
The new road layout will operate as a live construction site for approximately 2 weeks after opening to facilitate the construction of the permanent tie in works at each end, so motorists are advised to travel with caution and to obey all temporary traffic management systems in place.
