GAA LOTTO

Carnew GAA lotto was not won, numbers were 5,8,28,31, lucky dips were Linda Kavanagh, c/o Don Hyland. Timmy Collins. Shane and Imelda, c/o Hatchet. Finn Dempsey, c/o Michael Osborne. The next draw was 14th August and the jackpot was €7,400.

SHILLELAGH AREA COMMUNITY GAMES

Best of the luck to the following athletes who will be representing Wicklow at the Aldi Community Games National Finals on 19th-20th Aug at the National Sports Campus, Abbotstown: Luke Hilliard (U8 Boys 80m);  Ava Hilliard, Georga Rossiter, Myron Davidson, Cormac Murphy, Evie Moroney, Lee Dagge (all U10 Mixed Relay); Emma Mulhall, Yasmin Dagge, Sadhbh Houlihan, Eimear Murphy (all U12 Girls Relay); Kieran O’Neill (U12 Boys Ball Throw); Oran O’Callaghan (U14 Boys 100m & U14 Relay); Brandon Rossiter, Ryan Hilliard, Patrick Murphy, Wiktor Kosinski (all U14 Boys Relay); Toby McGuire (U14 Boys Long Jump); Evan O’Neill (U14 Boys Javelin); Aran Joyce (U16 Boys 200m) and Kyle McLaughlin (U16 Boys Discus).

A huge thank you to all the coaches for all their hard work and dedication in preparing our athletes and to all the families for their support throughout the season.

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

On Sunday August 20, the walk will be at Turlough Hill / Camaderry (Grade A/B, 18km, 6 hours) meeting Tinahely 9.30 or Glendalough lower car park at 10.15. On Sunday August 27, the walk will be at Kilbrannish (Grade B, 12km, 3.5 hours) meeting in Bunclody at 10.00. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.

HERITAGE DAY

Carnew Heritage club are busy preparing for their annual working day on Sunday 10th September on the usual lands on the Main Carnew/Gorey Road.
