Health Minister Simon Harris has asked management at Loughlinstown Hospital to provide a report, following an incident which a heart attack victim was turned away.
Niall O’Connor of the Irish Independent reports Hospital bosses are to review CCTV and staff members are to be interviewed regarding the incident.
A man in his 50s claims he presented himself with chest pains to the hospital but was told he needed a referral letter from his doctor in order to be seen.
He then claims he took a bus to his hometown of Bray where he collapsed with a suspected heart attack.
The man has since undergone successful surgery and is said to be doing well.
