Minister Simon Harris announced confirmation of 32 social houses to be delivered through the Department of Housing CALF Scheme with Túath in Wicklow Town.
It is understood the houses will be located at Bollarney on the Dublin Road .
Minister Harris said: “I am delighted to confirm that 32 social housing homes will be delivered in Wicklow town. These homes are turnkey acquisitions so it is expected they will be available by Sept 2018 following completion.”
Minister Harris continued: “This is a really positive development for Wicklow Town. These houses are being acquired through the CALF Scheme run by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government with Túath Housing. The Department are investing €2.9 million to deliver these homes for people on the housing waiting list.”
“I am really pleased that we are now starting to see progress on a number of schemes to increase private and social housing in Co Wicklow. Just this week, we turned the sod on 20 new houses for Rathdrum to be delivered in Sept 2018 also.”
