iPAD CLASSES OPEN TO ALL IN GREYSTONES LIBRARY

Commencing Monday,  2 October, 2017, 

Weeklong course,  two hour morning or afternoon classes available.

 

iPads will be provided and there is no charge for the course.

QI GONG & TAOIST MEDITATION:  6 WEEK COURSE:  18 SEPT TO 23 OCT

Gorse Hill,  Windgates,  7:40 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

 

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese health practice that involves movement and breath.

It develops grounding and activates the vital energy routes of the body.

It can bring a sense of calm,  self assurance and inner strength.

Taoist meditations are also part of the course.

 

€80 for six weeks;  or €15 for drop in.

FÁILTE ISTEACH:  FREE CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH CLASSES

Enrolment takes place Kilcoole Community Centre,  18 September,  7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Local people volunteer their time to teach practical conversational English.

To people from other countries who live and work in their communities.

Improving their English helps students to participate more fully in society.

Take part in further education and gain employment.

WICKLOW DEMENTIA SUPPORT SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR ALZPALS

Alzpals is a befriending service which supports people with dementia living at home.

Full free training provided with Garda vetting reference checks.

Plan sets our five year strategy and action plan.

Plan is for conservation and management of Wicklow’s natural,  built and cultural heritage.

Information meeting on 21 September,  Greystones Library,  6 pm to 8 pm.

All welcome and written submission are invited until 29 September to WCC.

 

IRELAND’S BEST YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR 2018

Search is now on to find Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE).

 

Three categories:

          Best Business Idea

          Best Start Up Business (under 18 months).

          Best Established Business (over 18 months).

 

Every entrant will be invited to attend Entrepreneur Bootcamp in October.

They will be given tips and advice on how to develop their business or venture.

 

Wicklow County final winners will receive investments to help them,  Prize Fund is €50,000.

These winners will progress to Regional Finals early next year.

National IBYE to be held in March 2018.

 

Young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 can visit www.ibye.ie and enter online.

Declan Sinnott is a founding member of Horslips and Moving Hearts.

He is a world renowned Irish guitarist,  producer,  songwriter and folk legend.

He has worked as guitarist and producer for Christy Moore for over 30 years.

And he guided Mary Black for over 13 years.

Declan enjoys writing and has released his first solo album: I love the noise it makes.
