Commencing Monday,  2 October, 2017

Weeklong course,  two hour morning or afternoon classes available.

 

iPads will be provided and there is no charge for the course.

FÁILTE ISTEACH:  FREE CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH CLASSES

Local people volunteer their time to teach practical conversational English.

To people from other countries who live and work in their communities.

Improving their English helps students to participate more fully in society.

IRELAND’S BEST YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR 2018

Search is now on to find Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE).

 

Three categories:

          Best Business Idea

          Best Start Up Business (under 18 months).

          Best Established Business (over 18 months).

 

Every entrant will be invited to attend Entrepreneur Bootcamp in October.

They will be given tips and advice on how to develop their business or venture.

 

Wicklow County final winners will receive investments to help them,  Prize Fund is €50,000.

These winners will progress to Regional Finals early next year.

National IBYE to be held in March 2018.

 

Young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 can visit www.ibye.ie and enter online.

Samba Drumming Workshop

Shoreline Leisure Centre,  Mill Road;  6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

Led by a Music Together facilitator.

Participants will be provided with instruments like Brazilian drums.

Tambourines,  shakers,  hand percussion,  djembes,  bongos and congas.

Session will include warm ups and guidance followed by improvisation.

Concluding with a short performance piece.

 

Children should be accompanied by an adult.

Hot Spot Music Club:  Mike Brookfield Acoustic Blues Band

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

 

Mike Brookfield hones his craft playing musical shows in London in 1990s.

He moved to Ireland and was Music Co-Ordinator for RTE.

He decided to make his own music.

And is now releasing his second album:  Brookfield.

Untreated,  unregulated and unvarnished.

Sound of an artist at the peak of his powers.
