The three ousted Wicklow Sinn Fein Councillors, John Snell, Oliver O’Brien and Gerry O’Neill will join other Sinn Fein Councillors and supporters, at a meeting on Saturday next to discuss the present situation and the state of the Party in general.
It is understood the meeting will be held at a location in the midlands.
Councillors from up to 14 counties who find themselves in a similar position as the three Wicklow Councilors will attend.
Long term Sinn Fein member Gerry O’Neill told WicklowNews “I can’t believe what has happened to us after the years of work we have put in, they even requested that the three of us be moved away from them in the Council Chamber. We were expelled from the party a few weeks ago, and the first I heard of it was when a journalist contacted me from RTE looking for a quote.”
