This year Wicklow town has been chosen as one of the Positive Ageing Week towns for 2017.
Positive Ageing Week plays a vital role in helping Age Action fulfill their mission of making Ireland the best country in which to grow old. This year’s theme is “Back to the Future” which will see all generations celebrating ageing in their local community. Wicklow Town & District Chamber of Commerce will be actively promoting and celebrating Bank of Ireland Positive Ageing Week in our local community. Events will be taking place daily over the week commencing 25th September until the 1st of October and they are as follows:
25th September: Tea & Teach – a crash course in automated banking
Venue: Bank of Ireland, Wicklow Town
Time: 11.00am – 12.00noon
26th September: Fatbike Adventures – Biking tour from South Quay to The Murrough
Venue: Meet at Wicklow Sailing Club

27th September: Dementia – What are the signs and how to deal with it
Venue: Tinakilly Country House & Hotel, Rathnew

28th September: Health In & Out
Venue: Wicklow Enterprise Park, The Murrough, Wicklow Town
Time: 11.00am – 12.30pm
29th September: Wills – What are the requirements, an informative talk on things legal
Venue: The Grand Hotel, Wicklow Town
Time: 11.00am – 12.00noon
