WFETC are offering you the chance to start your career in childcare with their extensive and industry-standard course in early childhood care & education. Students will study everything they’ll need to begin work in childcare upon completion of the course or progress to their level 6 BTEI part-time course. Work experience occurs on a weekly basis, so this practical course is ideal for gaining insight into the worlds of children and understanding their needs.
Award: QQI Level 5 Award in Early Childhood Care and Education (5M2009)
Duration: Academic year, full time, 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Places Available: 12
Modules Included: Understanding Special Needs, Creative Arts for Early Childhood, Communications, Child Development, Work Experience, Early Childhood Education and Play, Child Health and Well Being, Early Care and Education Practice, Occupational First Aid, Word Processing, Basic Food Handling (Subject to change)
Course Requirements: Garda vetting will be required for work experience.
