WFETC have joined up with the HSE and many other health services to offer all health studies students the opportunity to find work in their relevant field. This comprehensive course covers everything from nutrition and social studies to human growth/development and caring for older persons, so by the end of it – you’ll be perfectly confident to work in a variety of healthcare environments.

Duration: Academic year, full time, 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Modules Included: Human Growth and Development, Safety and Health at Work, Care of the Older Person, Communications, Work Experience, Social Studies, Nutrition, Palliative Care, Occupational First Aid, Patient Moving and Handling, Basic Food Handling, Word Processing (Subject to change).
Course Requirements: Garda vetting will be required for work experience.
