Aughrim Fair 2017

On Sunday December 10th the well established Christmas Fair organized by the Aughrim Business Association will take place in Lawless’ Hotel from 11am to 5pm. Many small local businesses present their crafts and services and attract a lot of customers. Old Time Threshing

The annual Old time Threshing and Vintage Day will be held on Terence Dunne’s farm in Muskeagh, Tinahely on Sunday October 8th at 2pm. All proceeds go to South Wicklow Hospice Homecare.  A great family day out and fun for all.
Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Community Games

Change of date for Agm!!  That time of the year again. Our AGM takes place on Thursday October 19th at 8.30 in the Aughrim Community Sports & Leisure Association. Please come along even to listen to what community games is about and to offer an opinion. All welcome.  Community Games is 10 years old in Aughrim/Annacurra. Celebration and presentations night is organised for Saturday October 21st 5-7 in the Aughrim Sports Complex. Looking forward to seeing all our children and past and present volunteers too, at this momentous evening.

Indoor Bowls

Indoor Bowls is back in action in the Community Hall (beside Londis) on Sunday and Monday nights. If there is anyone interested in joining please come along at 7 p.m . on either night or both.

Active Retirement.

Pottery classes will start on Monday  October 9th from 2pm -4pm.  Chair Yoga will resume on Tuesday October 10th at 10.30 am in the Sports Complex.  Coffee mornings continue each Monday morning at 10.30am.


The numbers: 1, 5, 14 and 20 were drawn in the sports club lotto on Monday last September 25th.  Match three winners were: Geraldine O’Brien, Nancy Linehan and John Byrne. The jackpot was not won. The jackpot is €2250

We have a wide variety of local produce on offer and our stallholders are more than happy to offer free tasting where possible. Also, enter a free weekly draw when you make a purchase. You will find fresh local meat and free range eggs, chemical free fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly baked bread and cakes, jams, marmalades and chutneys, freshly cooked frittatas and lots more.  Our craft section offers lovely gift ideas, jewellery and aran knits.

Meditation & Relaxation

All are welcome to free Heartfulness Meditation and Relaxation sessions at
the Aughrim Pavilion on Wednesdays at 7pm  October 11th, 18th and 25th.
