Avoca Courthouse
Like to give a little joy and love to a needy child this Christmas? TEAM HOPE CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL gift does just that. We here at the Avoca Courthouse are hoping to get a few boxes to send over, all you have to do is choose a boy or a girl, age group 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14 years old, get your shoe box wrapped (box and lid separately). To get your box to your chosen child please include €4 in an envelope taped to inside of your lid. Items allowed are – items for school pens, books etc – wash items soap, tooth brush and paste etc NO liquid – small clothing items hat, scarf, socks etc and don’t forget a treat toys, games, teddy, small torch or maybe some sweets. If anyone would like any more information or interested in sending a box call into Avoca Courthouse. Closing Date to get your finished shoeboxes back to us is Thursday 9th November 4pm. Every child deserves a gift at Christmas!!!
Active Retirement
As a result of huge interest in our Christmas in November trip to the Glen Eagle Hotel it booked up well in advance of closing date 23rd October. Apologies to all members who are unable to book a room. We have a waiting list in the event of a cancellation.
St Patrick’s Soccer Club
St Patricks soccer club annual golf classic, Woodenbridge Golf Club Sunday 22nd October 2017. Tee-times 08.30 to 12.30. Teams of four E180 to include dinner. Household hazardous waste collection at Avoca Recycling Centre
The household hazardous waste collection will take place at the Avoca Recycling Centre on Saturday the 28th of October from 9.30am to 1pm only. Bring along your old paints solvents pesticides adhesives caustic sodas drain cleaners detergents oven cleaners inks and resins etc to the above collection. NOTE: Come early as when the truck is full it will leave the site. For more info phone mylie on 087-2288132.

Winter opening times for Avoca Courthouse are Monday–Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Avoca Notes must be into us by 4pm on Fridays or 4pm on Thursdays on bank holiday weekends. Notes can be dropped into Avoca Courthouse or emailed to avocacourthouse@eircom.net.
