Gardai in Arklow say they are anxious to speak with any witnesses to an alleged incident in Aughrim last week.
On Wednesday night the 27th of September, an elderly man returning home, says two men jumped into his jeep and placed a hood over his head, forced him into the rear of the car and drove him to a remote area and threw him out, before driving off.
The vehicle was found burnt out at the Shay Elliott memorial between Glenmalure and Laragh early last Thursday morning.
Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made. CCTV footage in the area is being examined.
