Moblie phone users have been advised not to answer a number of International prefix numbers after reports of users being caught out by a scam in recent days.
If you recieve a call from either of the following +248 (Seychelles), +676 (Tonga), +674 (Nauru), +222 (Mauritania) and +235 (Chad) it is advised to block them straight away.
The calls usually take place at the same time of day and usually rings for a couple of seconds.
Phone users are advised not to call the numbers back and to block the numbers immeditally.
ComReg are advising phone owners to hang up immeditally on calls where there dosen’t appear to be anyone on the other line and to also be wary of multiple calls recieved from the same number.
