Rathnew have been crowned Senior football champions following a 5 point win in Aughrim over Blessington this afternoon.

The Village were red hot favourites going into the game and were quick out of the traps leading by 3-04 to 3 points after 25 minutes with goals from Mark Doyle, Leighton Glynn and James Stafford.

Blessington held Rathnew to 4 points in the second half but ran out of time.
