The first annual Druids Glen Corporate Day took place last week which saw 36 two person company teams take to the award-winning course to compete for the esteemed trophy. Teams enjoyed a delicious gourmet lunch before dispersing to their allocated holes for a shotgun start.
The course was in exceptional condition but it was a testing day of golf for all with a stiff breeze effecting play. The competition was remarkably close with the top three teams separated by a solitary point. In 3rd place was Destination Golf, Dermot Synott and Bobby Fisher, in 2nd place was Bizquip, Jim Leydon and Kenneth Byrne, and Commscope, Steven Whyte and Robert Black, claimed first place.
After a tough day on the course, the teams enjoyed a meal followed by a great panel discussion with some of Ireland’s rugby stars. Druids Glen ambassadors Rob Kearney and Fiona Coghlan were joined by Rugby Players Ireland representatives Isaac Boss and Isa Nacewa. Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is the Official Hotel Partner of Rugby Players Ireland.
