St. Kevin’s N.S. Greystones and the Parents’ Association were proud to launch their fundraiser for 2017, the €20K Drop, in The Whale Theatre, Greystones on Wednesday 4th October at 8pm. This is a stunning venue and the perfect place to introduce our sponsors and advertisers for the main event to the wider community. Thank you to Ross and the staff at the Whale Theatre for hosting the launch night.
The 20K Drop is run nationwide by Pallas Marketing and is similar to the TV show “The Million Pound Drop”. Each of the 8 contestants selected will receive €2,500. They place their money on what they feel is the correct answer. The may divide their money between the four suggested answers. All money placed on the correct answer is safe whilst the other answers drop their money into the podium. Having answered the 8 questions, the contestants keep the remaining amount they have left.
Principal of St. Kevin’s Mr. Scott Vance said “We are delighted with the response from the companies who have come on board as major sponsors and advertisers. All sponsors and advertisers will avail of on screen advertising on the night of the show and will be promoted strongly by us on the night.”

Mr Vance went on to say “the proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards upgrading a number of classrooms in the school” where the fantastic Laura Wood from East Coast FM was MC for the night. A demonstration of the game was held and our “contestant” and 1st official ticket buyer for the event was Councillor & Cathaoirleach of Greystones Municipal District Council, Gerry Walsh. Mr Vance paid special thanks to the hard working committee for all their efforts to date.
Tickets for the this entertaining and fun-filled show which will be held on 28th October in the Parkview Hotel, Newtownmountkennedy are available now. Tickets are priced at €25 each & there will be a discount for families or groups with four tickets available for €80.
