AIB Group Director of Finance Myles O’Grady, FCCA, who presented the winners with their awards said “AIB is delighted to sponsor ACCA’s Ireland Prizewinning Awards again. Nurturing and developing talent so employees can bring the best of themselves to work each day is a key part of the sustainability of any business. Awards such as these enable students to be the best they can be in the workplace. AIB’s purpose is to back our customers to achieve their dreams and ambitions, and we hope to see these talented graduates go on to achieve their dreams and ambitions”.
Liz Hughes, Head of ACCA Ireland stated, “Theresa has demonstrated that hard work, dedication and passion are rewarded, and her achievement is richly deserved. Not only has she achieved first place in Ireland, but she was placed within the top 15 Affiliates worldwide. This result showcases the accounting talent we have in Ireland and represents a bright future for talent within the financial services sector.
“Partnership between professional and corporate organisations is so valuable in helping to develop our finance leaders of the future and the positive professional partnership ACCA has enjoyed with AIB for over 30 years has been integral to the career development of many of our members. We look forward to the continuation of that relationship for years to come.”
