Christmas Bazaar
A Christmas Bazaar is being held in the Shillelagh Courthouse on the 2nd of December from 3pm – 8pm. Proceeds will go to the Christmas lights & Wicklow Animal 
Welfare. Post your letter to Santa, meet the good man himself, Carol singing from 5-6pm and many stalls including jewelry, Bric a brac, flowers, knitwear & books. There is also a raffle for a trailer load of logs. Tea, coffee & cakes will be available..

Beans & Bling
Beans & Bling are having their jewelry sale and coffee morning on the 1st of December in the Tinahely Courthouse from 10.30 until 12.30. Come along and get some Christmas shopping done. Also on sale, delicious cakes, bread, mince pies etc. All proceeds  going to local charities.

 


Carnew Musical Society

 Sister Act

With a lot of hard grafting done and some work still to do by cast and crew, there is a great deal of excitement building up in anticipation for Carnew Musical Society’s production ofSister Act. St. Brigid’s Hall will rock to the music of this fabulous show, including songs such as Take me too Heaven, Raise your Voice, Fabulous Baby, Sister Act, Spread the love around and Sunday Fever.

As well as great music, Sister Act is hilariously funny and will be a great hit with the audiences. Naoimh Penston from Arklow, is both Musical Director and will the role of Dolores is teaching the nuns and the men of course…how to groove, while Graham Finnerty is teaching us all how to move to the groove as choreographer and Michael Dunbar as director is getting out the dramatic action and comedy .

Cast: Naoimh Penston takes on the role of  Dolores and Mother Superior will be played by Jennifer Byrne. The role of  Sr. Mary Robert is being played by Erin Hogan, Sr. Mary Lazarus will be played by  Thérèse Canavan Bolger, while Marie Dunne will take on the role of Sr. Mary Patrick. Monsignor O’ Hara will be played by John Young and Curtis by Bill Stafford while Brian O’Gorman will play Eddie, TJ,  Joey and Ernie will be played by  Jimmy Spellacy, David Cox and John Duignan and Padraig D’arcy who played the role of Jesus and various other lead roles with the Society will play the role of Pablo.  Sr. Mary Martin de Toures will be played by Mary Doran and Sr. Mary Teresa will be played by Anne Sheridan. Michelle and Tina will be played by Catherine Stafford and Clodagh Leacy.

The cost of staging musicals is very high and  Carnew Musical Society would not be in a position to stage Musicals without the continued support of local businesses and patrons for their sponsorship and patronage.  Sponsorship and Associate membership tickets are now available from all committee and cast members.   Sponsors and Associate members are entitled to priority booking for this very popular show and will have their names listed in the programme. If you have not been approached for tickets and would like to purchase an Associate Membership ticket, sponsorship ticket, or place an advertisement in the programme,  please contact  087 9323990 (this is not the booking number).

45  Card Game

45 card game  will  be  on Friday night next November  24  starting at 8-30 pm, in the Saltee.

 

Gaa Lotto

Results for November 13. No Winners. Numbers drawn 2-3-17-21. Jacpot  €1.150.00 euro. Draw held in Saltee on Monday nights.

 

Blood

You can donate blood in Arklow Bay Hotei on Tuesday 21 Wednesday 22 Thursday 23 . November. Time 4-30 pm until 8 pm each day.
