NutriQuick Healthy Meals Set for Retail Takeover

NutriQuick Healthy Ready Meals receive the Best Start-up award in the 2017 National Shelf Life Retail Awards and are set up for a big 2018.

Founder Dean Siney from Blessington was thrilled to say the least last Wednesday evening when NutriQuick received the Best Start-up award in the 2017 national shelf life retail awards. The award has set NutriQuick up very nice for a big 2018 as they plan to roll out their healthy readymade meals nationwide. “This is just the start of what we have been working extremely hard on since establishing NutriQuick meals with benefits in 2016.” Dean is also hoping for success in this year’s IBYE Irelands Best Young Entrepreneur competition which he and NutriQuick have been qualified for as a finalist.

Dean came from a sporting background and was working in the health & fitness industry “I developed a strong passion for healthy food.” He realised the biggest problem people faced when trying to improve their health was to maintain a healthy and balanced diet and this was due to the lack of knowledge, skills, facilities or more than most TIME.

NutriQuick was established in January 2016 with a mission to improve health & performance through their convenient, healthy meals. They started in a small rented kitchen and supplied customers with meal plans online and through independent stores. Interest and sales grew fast and they were soon supplying their healthy readymade meals nationwide.

With this growth they faced a big decision with production. Find a manufacturer who could produce the volume or build a production facility and team? “With The fear of losing quality control of a brand and product I was so passionate about, I decided to invest into building our own production plant and team.”

In September 2016 Dean and his team took a nearly 4000sqft unit in Blessington and turned it in to a state of the art production facility which is now 853 licensed & approved by the FSAI and HSE and where they produce thousands of NutriQuick Ready Made meals weekly.

NutriQuick has since taken part in the SUPERVALU & BORD BIA food academy and worked with their local enterprise and some of the best foodie’s in the country, Yvonne Scully and Wendy Roberts to help develop their brand and products.

They now supply some of Irelands leading retail stores including SuperValu, Centra, Londis and Spar and employee 7 staff. “Our plans for 2018 is to continue to grow our brand and products by rolling out our retail range across Ireland.” They also look forward to launching their new website and ordering application next month which promises to simplify the online ordering process and be available for customers to order in Ireland & the UK. “Most important we want to stay true to our mission and continue to make people’s lives easier and improve their health & performance through our nutritious & delicious healthy meals.”
