Gardai in Rathdrum are investigating a raid on a local butchers shop.
Raiders forced their way into Moores Family Butchers in Rathdrum in the early hours of Wednesday morning causing extensive damage and pouring petrol around the premises.
Freezers, fridges and food stock were totally destroyed.
It is understood nothing was taken during the incident.
Gardai are viewing CCTV from the area.
Friends of Dermot Moore have worked through the night in order to get the store open in what is the busiest time of the year.
