Gardai warn motorists not to leave valuables in vehicles following theft from car while woman attends Mass

Gardai in Wicklow town are investigating the theft from a car while the occupant attended evening Mass on Saturday evening.

The owner of the car was late for Mass and left her handbag in the car, on returning to the car the passenger widow had been smashed and the bag was taken.

The incident took place between 6.15 and 6.30pm in St.Patrick’s church car park adjacent to the primary school.

Gardai are warning motorists not to leave valuables in their car while unattended.

Gardai are checking CCTV from the area and are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them at Wicklow Garda station on (0404–67107)
