Active Retirement

Thanks to this months guest speakers Jimmy and Tommy from Arklow R.N.L.I. They gave us a brilliant insight to the life of all those men and women volunteers, life savers, who are at the ready whenever people or boats are in danger at sea, or on the rivers.  Chair Yoga resumes on Tuesday 23rd. Please bring €10.00 in a signed envelope. Please return voting papers to Anne Thornton or Margaret Brady before 21st January.

Lotto

The numbers: 4, 6, 8 and 19 were drawn in the sports club lotto on Monday last January 8th . Match three winners were: Garrett Byrne, Breda Murphy, Philip Doyle, John Keenan and Kevin O’Neill. The jackpot was not won. The jackpot is €4350.

Market

Aughrim Town & Country Market at the Pavilion, Rednagh Road, every Saturday from 10am – 2pm. The New Year got off to a great start last Saturday when we returned after the Christmas break. A large crowd of happy people filled the market cafe for Celene and Eleanor’s first day at the helm and they certainly impressed with their tasty spread!  There is a lovely selection of fresh produce on offer including; organic fruit and vegetables, farm fresh eggs, home baking, locally grown meat, jams, chutneys, freshly cooked frittatas and lots more. For further information please contact Caroline at: 0860865838.
